Laptop wont switch on

mr_newbie 10-10-2007, 05:28 PM I have an NEC laptop. Its been charging on the mains for a few weeks constant. While it was charging, i had used it several times but now it wont switch on. I can hear the fan and a green light is there but the screen shows nothing. Any ideas? Tmagic650 10-10-2007, 05:36 PM Remove the battery and run it only off the mains. Know anyone with a similar battery from a similar maker (laptop/model) to borrow that hasn't been in the kitchen [sic]? try the substitute if poss to eliminate battery damage.
