I voted for Sony Ericsson.
I have the K800i, which has a 3.2mega pixel camera and plays all my mp3`s.
I really like it and think it`s a great phone.

in general I have never been too fond of phone companies. Most of the time, they rip people off because they are a monopoly.

Dude, isn't the title supposed to be phone manufacturer? 'Cause that's what I can make out from the choices. Phone companies would be Verizon and AT&T, unless I'm wrong. And in that case, I'm with Tedster. They totally suck. At least you guys in the US have some freedom of choice. Here, we're stuck with only one service provider. :(

Things were pretty bad in India too, till just a few years ago. There was only one service provider, and the waiting period to get a phone was in years. And the charges were exorbitant.
Now we have several service providers, and we can get a landline or mobile connection in a couple of days (sometimes in a few hours).
In the US, I got the landline connection in a couple of hours!

Hehe, I'm not much of a fan of mobile phones. I always loose them or break them whils under the influence of alcahol! I have given up on owning them I think.

I've owned Samsung, Motorola and Nokia phones and none come close to the Sony Ericsson W850i I'm using right now.

Recently I had changed wireless companies and seem to be very happy (at this moment) with Verizon. I have a LG that suits my needs and is not difficult. The last phone I had was a Motorola that took me a year to figure out.

I don't remember the exact model of the Samsung. But I had the Motorola Razr V3i and although it looked cool, the interface was very ****ty. I sold it and then bought a Nokia N73. Although it was admittedly a nice phone, it hung far too often to be of any real use to me. After sending it to the repair shop for the fourth time in a row, I decided to ditch it and get the W850i instead. That was about a month back and I haven't had any problems since.

I've dropped my blackberry Pearl into a sink full of water two times (each time it stayed on under water with the screen on through the water) and one time into a toilet and I could use it once I got it out. I the toilet was a clean one - I swear.

IMO 2MP is quite enough for pictures. 5MP is just overkill for a mobile phone.

Alot of people will tell you not to buy it because of poor batery life etc but dont listen to em, theres guides on the internet for turning off things like bluetooth when there not needed that takes your battery life from 6-8hours to 4-5 days and they have a new software update now.
"Its a good phone, 5mp camera and gps navigation" and yeah the camera is great really good quality but the gps dont seem to be much use when i tried it. but we have a proper gps system so it dont get used.

I've had many phones, and I've found motorola to be extremely unreliable. I've had three of them in the past few years (the w375, the v220 and the v500) and I have found they poor quality, and cut off constantly, as well as things like text messages not sending and poor signal. They also get battery drainage issues very quickly. The v220 wasn't too bad though. I like Sony Ericssons now, especially the k750i.

i think that sony phones are quite nice but i think that the menus can be a bit over-complicated sometimes. i've had a few nokias and will continue to get them as i never have any real problems with them. i drop mine all the time and it's ok ;)
i have a nokia 6120 classic at the moment and i must say that i love it, it's a smartphone so it will do all sorts of stuff and it's customizable to no end. i had a nokia 6680 before this one and that still goes, i just wanted to go on contract :p
only thing i find with nokias is that they do start to deteriorate at some point but this is usually after a few years so by the time it's on the way out i'm due for a new phone anyway :grinthumb

5mp camera would be a bonus.. i don't have a camera in my arsonal at the moment (and even if i do, i'd usually forget to bring it places.. especially one of those spontanious photo moments :\).
Although i hope the drop factor is pretty good.. the next phone i get needs to last like my 6610 (nearly 5 years, its body is just about disintegrated, but still good)

5mp camera's are starting to get slightly more common because the new samsung g600 and g800 have 5mp cameras ;)

True, more 5MP cameras are making their way to phones but if i could have the N95's 5MP camera or the N93i's 3.2MP camera I'd have the N93i, it has digital zoom and takes amazing pictures (my cousin has one ;) plus it's a good phone all round

Price is the factor, the G800 has 4x digital zoom and 3x optical

my phone of choice right now is the LG env. Mostly because of the great battery life I havent charged it in two days and still have a full battery and I use it alot. granted this is comming off a razor V3c with a next to nothing battery
