Just wondering where device drivers are located in WinXP? i need to extract them to inlcude them in an image and this requires the chipset, video, and nic.

This may be an easier solution

Install a freeware tool DriverMax (http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/index.htm)

You can start the tool and select the following Driver Operations

Installed Drivers Report (get a detailed list of all the drivers being used)
Export Drivers (export all your drivers to a folder or compressed file)
Import Drivers (after a new installation just import your drivers)


One warning: The "Check for Driver Updates" section is not 100% accurate. You can checkout the new version it lists but note it's not necessarily correct for your environment
