Hope there aren't a lot of pple using Amexmail.com's service (too bad I am {g}). I opened my mailbox today to find a VERY disturbing message:
AmExMail will be discontinuing service as of April 30, 2002. To keep your current email account and messages with USA.NET (blah@usa.net) you must purchase service by April 30, 2002. USA.NET is offering current AmExMail users an introductory rate of $29.99 for a year of service. Subscribe today!! You only have 32 day(s) remaining to continue using this service!
Click here to keep your email address @usa.net.
If you have any questions regarding your online services with American Express, please call (800) AXP-1234.
And ironically their main landing page still has the following messages:
It's Free — There is no charge for your email address or any of the AmExMail services
It's Permanent — Your AmExMail address stays with you even if you switch ISPs, change jobs, or move
Oh well, time to change mail providers...
