I have a friend w/ almost no money to spend on a computer.

There is a computer in the Fry's flyer that uses the Linux OS system.

He has used Win98 in the past.

How much different would it to be for him to use Linux and can he play his football games on Linux?

It will probably be extremely difficult for him, but don't worry. Get the machine anyway if its a good price and then format the HDD and install Windows. We can help you to do that.
