Hi,

On a reboot, I got the Found New Hardware popup for PCI Modem. There's a big yellow question mark next to it in Device manager, and it says its driver software is not installed. The automatic wizard couldn't find the drivers. What to do?

You need to get the drivers from the manufacturer.

thank you, though the problem fixed itself after a couple reboots. X.X;; In Device Manager, the modem is properly installed as PCTEL Platinum V.90 Modem.

Windows does that, I agree. It's very strange I know.

This modem has been stated as not to work with Vista, I take it that you have Xp ?

Anyway all's well..
