I got a cd of Norton anti-virus and it says that I have to have 256 Mb of RAM. I have 128 Mb of Ram witrh 996hz microprocessor(Celeron) and 2.72 Gb of free space. I previously had Norton Internet Security 2007 and it requires 256MB of RAM, so can I use my cd of Norton Anti-virus. It says in Dell handbook that my computer has the capacity for 256Mb of Ram, but I am listed in MY Computer as having 128MB of RAM. How is it possible that my computer supported the Norton Internet Security? Also, any recommendations of other anti-virus for my computer? Do I also need spyware and any recommendations?

I agree with kimsland. The free version of AVG is definetly your best choice.
Norton is a virus.
Just my opinion. I use Symatec Endpoint Protection 11 though. Their corporate software is far better.
