First off, I play World of Warcraft and my FPS is very low, around 5-13 fps on average and im trying to increase it because the game is very choppy.

My graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 with the driver version of 6.14.10.9371 and I have not updated my drivers on it in quite a while and don't really remember how. I was going to update it with ForceWare version 169.21.

I was also wondering if I should also update my DirectX. I have DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Not sure if you are implying that you have the hopes of increasing WoW's FPS by updating your VPU drivers, but if this is the case, you likely won't see a significant performance increase, if any at all.

To install the new drivers:

Start>Run>devmgmt.msc>Ok

Click the + next to "Display Adapters".

Right click on your video card and click "Uninstall".

Reboot your computer when the uninstall finishes.

Execute the .exe for your new drivers.
