Vuzix Annouces Increased Compatibility for VR920 (3D Stereoscopic)

Rochester, NY – March 5, 2008 – Vuzix Corporation is excited to introduce the VR920 software version 2.0. The iWear® VR920 v2.0 software includes expanded title support for its Vuzix 3D Stereoscopic video drivers, enabling users of most popular gaming titles to enjoy their favorite game in 3D video.

For iWear® VR920 users, 3D video support was previously limited to titles supporting Nvidia 3D Stereo on computers equipped with Nvidia graphics cards and difficult to configure 3D drivers. These drivers were available for only a limited number of Nvidia graphics cards and were not Vista compatible. Using the new Vuzix 3D drivers, iWear® VR920 users are now able to enjoy any of the 40 supported titles with virtually any make or model of graphics card running under Windows XP or Vista. Some of the supported titles are below:
• Microsoft Flight Simulator X
• Call of Duty 4
• Crysis
• Half-Life 2
• xPlane Flight Simulator
• Quake 4

“Near the end of January 2008, we released the new VR920 firmware that enabled the new Vuzix 3D Video Drivers, with support for two titles,” said Paul Travers, president of Vuzix Corporation. “Today, a little over a month later, we have support for 40 titles. Between this and the number of new game development shops who expressed interest adding native support for our drivers at this years Games Developers Conference, we’re excited to witness the VR920s becoming a mainstream accessory for PC gaming.”

Additional features of the v2.0 software release are improved head tracking support, a new User’s Manual, enhanced 3D video quality and improved iWear® Monitor Extensions support.

The new iWear VR920 v2.0 software is shipping in new iWear® VR920 product immediately and is available as a free download from the Vuzix website (www.vr920.com) for all existing iWear® VR920 customers.
