Directx 10 on XP?
Has anyone else come across this on the web? http://www.technospot.net/blogs/down...-alky-project/
I found it this morning when I was bored at work. Has anyone tried this to see if it works? If it does it would stop me thinking about going over to vista straight away. |

Uh, you need to read that all the way through, especially the comments/responses. It was a hack and the site that started it closed down though from what I understand they left the code behind in order to have someone else pick it up. Plus you have to be somewhat tech savvy to get it running.
Personally, if you want DX10 capability go with Vista. |

I think one will probably break more, than achieve anything sensible with this procedure. Alternatively you could run Vista on a small partition with DX10 and only the games installed. Surely not practical, but way safer then a hacked DX.
