Do I run the risk of bricking my psp if i install popsloader?
i have a fat psp running on 3.80m33-5 firmware...i wanna play ffvii on it but without popsloader it hangs at the first battle...and i tink i'll have to install popsloader, but will any mishaps brick my psp? and which version firmware update (from a faq: "Download the firmware update that corresponds to the version of POPS that you would like to install") is the best to play ffvii?

You should be able to play the game without fiddling with the BIOS/Firmware. If it doesn't work with a simple BIOS/Firmware update, contact the game manufacturer & get support.
