Easy fix for QSI DVD/CDRW SBW-161 that seems to have a lost drive
I'm new here, but I saw a few threads where people with laptops seem to have lost their driver for their CDRW. I had the same problem. My IT guy at work told me that it wasn't a driver problem, but rather a registry problem. I do not profess to understand what the registry is; however, he gave me a quick and easy fix to the problem. Try looking at Microsoft Help and support MS KB 314060\MS KB 314060.mht. I used Method 1 at this site and it worked like a charm. I hope this is helpful to someone.
