The computer with the problem is an emachine about 4 years old. I'm not at home now so will give the specs later if necessary. The first symptom was the keyboard acting up. A new keyboard using a usb port worked fine. Another keyboard with a ps2(?) port didn't work. The next day the computer booted up to a gray screen (my mothers computer, I didn't see the boot up ). I tried to reboot it so I could see the process but it would not restart. After pushing the start button several times, there was only one little flash of light on the button, but nothing else. Everything hooked up to the surge protector works except the computer. My first thought was that the motherboard died. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, thanks.
