Reinstall BIOS?

Hello.

I have a problem reinstalling windows on my computer. When the wininstaller looks for places to install windows, it shows a partition 131072 mb large. This is the same on different hdds. I just sucsesfully formatted a 372 gb hdd in another computer.
This also meashures 131072 mb when trying to install windows.
Could this be caused by virus in the BIOS?
I have a biostar gf7050v-m7 mobo.
The windowsdisc is kosher.
Please help as i am starting to fear permanent computrerloss.

I may have underexplained my problem a bit.
When i format the 131072 mb and install windows xp, it installs the windowsfiles and restart and the whole thing starts all over again. It is a vicius cycle of formatting and installing. I tried to put in another hdd witch is already formatted with nfts filesystem, and the result is the same. I cant choose to just install windows without formatting and if i format, the cycle starts.
Something is terribly wrong and i dont know what to do. I´ve installed windows on 50+ machines, so i know how the workflow should be, and ive never experienced anything like this before.
Is it possible to get virus in the bios?

Why don't you name the Windows version ? Makes a HUGH DIFFERENCE
for replys.
I like Kosher meats too,especially Corned Beef on rye.:slurp:

Download the drive manufacturer's utility, make a bootdisk and repartition and format the drive. Simply stated, the install went bad (stuff happens) and you need to start with a clean drive, otherwise, it will stay in the loop.

Sorry i see it's XP.
Why not go to the bios and reset it to "Defaults"
But you seem very experienced doing 50 installs.You should be able to
solve this problem,i only have about 10 installs since W95.
XP was the easiest.
I'd have to say you have the boot sequence starting
with your XP disk first.
Is that right ?
