hi! guys, just wondering how do you really discharge the static electricity coming from your body? What is the right method or proper way of doing it? And how do you know
that you have successfully drained the static electricity? Any thoughts.? ![]() |

The most convenient way, when it comes to computers, is by touching a metal part on your computer case, while it is plugged in.
Anti-static wrist straps work in exactly the same way. How would you know? I suppose if your chips aren't getting fried to extra crispy.... |

If it was anything other than a static discharge that caused the shock you had a short somewhere because that can't happen any other way.
Just touch the case before touching components inside of it and you are fine. |
