Explorer.EXE problem

Hello, i am experiencing some technical difficulty's with explorer.exe
when ever i try to access (e.i.: right clicking or opening) a movie or file on my 500gb ext hdd an error box pops up saying:
explorer.exe - Application Error
The Instructions at "0x027c415b" referenced memory at "0x00000000".
The memory could not be "written".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.

by clicking OK explorer.exe shutsdown and restarts(not the computer) all my desktop
icons dissaper and the start bar durring this time.

clicking CANCEL freezes explorer.exe, forcing me to CTRL + ALT + DEL and end
the process, and go to "File" and click "New Task(run)" and type in explorer.exe
and that will bring all my icons and start bar back.

i had a problem with drwtsn32.exe, and thus i had to edit its registry to 0 so it
would not work, and thus not be a problem any more.

Thanks, Z

Delete your Internet Explorer Desktop shortcut, go to Start, All programs and drag and drop the Internet Exlorer line to the Desktop.

Do the same with Windows Explorer, but you have to go to Start,All Programs, Accessories.

What happens?

Well, then don't do it!

The Windows Explorer may be easier to just right click on and Create a Shortcut.

I just thought it would prove your existing shortcut wasn't hijacked or in error.

Do what you want.

That's not nice.

It is beneficial to leave posts as they are for two reasons:
1. So others can find out what the fix was (actually you may need to elaborate on this a little)
2. So support members can better help others in similar circumstances.

Hey it made you upset, imagine the poor next guy that has the same issue as you.

24hrs so
I understand, you wouldn't believe it but I think most are here (teenagers that is)

Anyway, sometimes after 24hrs, most people calm down and say, err I'll leave the damn thing then !

Lets leave it that
