VNC through multiple routers

Hi,

My landlord has a router, on the 192.168.1.xxx range, ports are forwarded to .1.13(WAN side of my router upstairs), then from there to .2.155 (dumb AP) and THEN to the server .2.31

Yet, I cannot VNC in on 5800 or 5900. I can within the network, not a problem!

Anyone got an idea what's going on here?

hum; cascading routers do create problems when port forwarding is required.

you need each router to port forward to the address of the next router and
the last one forwards to your system for the VNC client.

precisement. Even though I've done that, I'll try moving that rig up to the DHCP server switch on this subnet, at least eliminating the dumb AP

remember; it's PF only to the device next in the chain, not an end-to-end PF
that's exactly alike in each router.

your BIG first issue is the first router at the modem (192.168.1.xxx range,)
if this isn't correct, nothing comes thru.
This is a PF to 192.168.1.13 for EACH PORT or port range.

ps: 192.168.1.13 needs to be static on the landlords router too!

OK, so we go - Internet side of .1.254 PF'd 5800-5900 TCP/UDP to .1.13.

.1.13 then forwards to 2.155, then 2.155 forwards to 2.32. Still...no go
