Win32/Heur?

I recently started getting a message from avg 8.0 on my laptop running vista home premium.

the alert reads as follows

threat detected!

file name: c:windows/mpcodecplg.dll

threat name: Virus found Win32/Heur
detected on open

details listed this:

process name: c/program files/internet explorer/iexplore.exe
process ID: 4368

this happens when I open a window I have the option to move to vault but after a stern warning stating that it will cause windows to become unstable it still occurs time and time again. Does anyone know what this is?
