A malicious .DLL file is disrupting the LSP chain on your computer. We need to get rid of it.
  1. Please download LSPFix from here.
  2. Run the LSPFix.exe that you have just finished downloading.
  3. Check the I know what I'm doing box.
  4. In the Keep box you should see one or more instances of xfire_lsp_10908.dll.
  5. Select every instance of xfire_lsp_10908.dll and move each one to the Remove box by clicking the >> button.
  6. When you are done click Finish>>.

Then post a fresh hijackthis log

problem router
the WRT54G has ahd problems in the past. like the other threads have stated you should make sure the firmware is updated, to do this just go on there website and do a search. you can also call them for tech support. But most likely it could be other things if that does not solve the problem try moving the router to a different spot if that does not work. good luck!!!

Both are legit services they are not malware

go to this folder C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe

and rename HijackThis.exe to cursty then post a fresh log this will show anything hidding. Also is your internet working or does it still not connect

Please read this post completely, it may make it easier for you if you copy and paste this post to a new text document or print it for reference later.

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan.**Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

O23 - Service: Viewpoint Manager Service - Viewpoint Corporation - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked.**Close HiJackThis.**Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following (if present):

Viewpoint

Please note any other programs that you don't recognize in that list in your next response.

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete these folders (if present):

C:\PROGRAM FILES\ Viewpoint


After that, Reboot, and post a new HijackThis log here in a reply

Obtain the SuperAntiSpyware log as follows:
Click on 'Preferences'.
Click on the 'Statistics/Logs' tab.
Under 'Scanner Logs' double click on 'SuperAntiSpyware Scan Log'.
It will then open in your default text editor,such as Notepad.
Attach the notepad file here on your next reply

My internet is working great now. Thanks a ton. My computer's still slow but I'm pretty sure that's just because I need a new video card.

I guess it couldn't hurt.

Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
1 GB Kingston RAM ( don't know the speed)
Radeon 9800 Pro (is having problems)
Intel 82865 PE/P motherboard
Don't know about the PSU (any way to check that without opening up the case?)

If you need other information I'd be happy to find it out.

Go to start then run and type msconfig then click on the tab that says startup now uncheck the following items.

Microsoft Works Update Detection
ALUAlert

now go to the link below and go to post number #10 and download the file I attached extract it then run it select yes then ok and reboot. How is your computer running now
