The image file setup.exe in valid
Hi All,
I'm trying to run a setup.exe belonging to a database upgrade patch but I get this error whenever double clicked "image file ..... setup.exe in valid, but is for a machine type other than the currnet machine". our environment : windows 64 bit EE on Intel xeon. But the installation program expects "windows 64 bit EE on Intel Itanium or higher". Is this the cause ? pls help guyz. Thanks, Arshad. |

When this error message is encountered on an x64 Edition machine, it indicates that your application or its setup program is 16 bit. There is no support for 16 bit applications in Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.
