does anybody know how to set a password on individual files in windows so that you can only view the files if you have entered the right password? is it any different from XP to Vista? thx

There are a huge number of file encryption programs available, many freeware. Why don't you just google for 'file encryption' or look here http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/security/fwencrypt.html
