hello my computer speaker just started making static high pichd sounds and when i adjust volume my sound stops untill i restart my comp PLZ HELP

AMD DURON i cant find model number audio card is sis 7018 and the motherboard is a sis 730 i reasdtalled and uninstalled my driver didnt help

no idea 4q what it says on them and i upgraded comp i am even run xp its just we didnt upgrade sound card but it does the same thing ven when i plug headphones in
