Translation / meaning
Can anyone tell me what all those obscure names actually mean - Ubuntu ; Hardy Heron ; Mandrake etc? Ive never used the os but am intrigued to learn what
the words stand for. (It took me some time to find out that Windows XP simply meant Windows 'experience' Win95 and 98 were self explanatory, as was Win2000 but I'm stumped to find the meaning of all those "flavours" of Linux... |

Meanings
Thanks for the tip on Wikipedia - I deliberately don't use it as it's often so inaccurate, but no doubt for this purpose, it will be fine.
As the the "sweat" spelling, I was just beaten to the draw by Capt C. -- unless it was a crafty joke!? |
