web based scans

I've been given this address by someone in college, www.doxdesk.com .

It seems that it scans your browser (as long as it's IE6 with active scripting!) for parasites. It does have a long list of various browser parasites etc, and manual removal instructions.

What do you guys think of this site, and sites like this in general???

OK, but a better place may be "pestpatrol.com".

System specs
Your browser has not been checked for parasites, because it isn’t Internet Explorer 5 (or later) on Windows.

For technical reasons, the automatic-detection feature on this web page can only work with IE/Win, with “Active scripting” and “Run ActiveX controls” enabled.

(Other browsers and operating systems tend not to be so badly affected in any case.)
