AMD vs Intel in regards to Sims 2
Which processor is better for the Sims 2?
AMD or Intel. I'm looking at two notebooks, one with AMD and one with Intel. The AMD notebook is customizable from: AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TL-60 (2.0 GHz) up to an AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology Gold Edition TL-68 (2.4 GHz) The Intel Notebook is customizable from: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2.0GHz) up to an Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.50GHz) I want to be able to play the Sims 2 and some expansion packs. Which isbetter for that game? Last edited by delorpompomGD; 07-20-2008 at 07:58 PM.. Reason: typo |

More than the CPU, look at the video card you're getting. If it's some Intel Integrated garbage, then the game won't work. It will work with any new Mobility Radeon or GeForce Go chipset though. Either of those CPUs will be more than enough for the game, although I'd choose the Core 2 Duo for its cooler thermal profile.
