Hot too quick?

My gpu seems to be heating increasingly over a short period of time. WHen i turn my computer on it starts 50/60, and as i am messing around (not playing games) on my comp, it rises in about 15 minutes to about 67/68. Is that a little to overheated if your not playing games, or is that normal?

specs:
9800gt 512mb super clocked ed.
amd athlon 64 x2 5200+
3.00 of ram

If you aren't seeing artifacts or expierencing crashes I wouldn't worry about it.

They look like geometrical shapes flashing. You'd know if there was something wrong with the display, it's very obvious
