hi can anyone help i have bought a new dvd rom/cd-rw drive for my laptop but i am unable to suss out how to remove the exsisting driver can't find any tabs have taken out screws both sides of the driver and one at the back but still no movement thanks

There is no driver. Ii assume you meant drive.
There are release clips which enable removal of the drive. You need to remove the front bezel, then depress the releases and slide out.
