Autochk program not found - skipping AUTOCHK
autochk program not found - skipping AUTOCHK
Hi all ... I'm hoping that someone may be able to help me with this problem ... I'll spell it out in detail so that everyone might be able to understand and be able to solve this error ..... I had just received a CD for Ubunta on Saturday, August 9, 2008. I place the CD into my CD Drive and choice to install Ubunta as a secondary os. Now after installing Ubunta I get at start up a choice to boot to WinXP or Ubunta. Neither one works ... but when I try to boot into WinXP Home Edition I get the error ... autochk program not found - skipping AUTOCHK It just keeps starting over and over with the startup page where I can make a choice of WinXP or Ubunta ... this is driving me nuts ... I also don't have a recovery or the original CD for Windows XP Home Edition. So please, before I jump out my window ... please help me if you can. Running on a Dell Laptop ... Oh! If I run the Ubunta in Live/CD mode I can see all my programs in it's folders ... I need to be able to boot back to WinXP Home Edition as I have many programs that I have purchase stuck in limbo like me ... Thanks BostonBigGuy |
