sidewinder drivers - still rubbish?
some years back, I bought a serial microsoft force feedback steering wheel and for a few months, was in gaming nirvana.
However, after upgrading to win2000k (from win98), found that the drivers no longer worked and no update was made available, the basic drivers in w2000 did'nt facilitate force feedback and some of the functions on the wheel was disabled leaving me with £100 worth of plastic junk which was a crying shame particularly as the wheel was a superb performer. Three years later, I'm on the lookout for yet another wheel - the microsoft wheels are easily the best available and I'm sorely tempted to purchase one but can anyone tell me if there are any driver issues? |
