Logitech Gaming Mouse to Vista... nightmare
I just came across this board...seems like a good place to get a question answered. In advance, thanks for any help.
I decided recently that I was going to start playing CS again. I played it for years on my old PC. I used the Logitech MX 518 corded mouse. Fast forward 3 years. I now have an HP Pavilion laptop that I purchased about a year back for work. Of course, it came with Vista...sigh. I've tried to install this mouse and it simply won't work. Tech Support at Logitech is telling me there is nothing they can do. The updated SetPoint software 4.6 won't work. And I'm not paying HP $50 to ask them questions they aren't going to answer. So do i just bite the bullet and go buy a new mouse? Or is there anything I can do? When I plug the mouse in, it recognizes that there is new hardware. And it recognizes the driver. But it says something about the mouse not being configured correctly. For some reason, Vista is not recognizing the mouse. Any advice? |
