Screen goes black
Recently my computer has been "blacking out".
Basically, when I'm doing something not very demanding, such as browsing the internet, chatting on MSN etc, the screen will go dark, much like a low power mode, with a dimmer brightness for about 2 seconds, and then goes off completely. The computer still responds, the only way to solve it is to unplug the VGA cable and plug it back in.... I'm using a VGA cable with a DVI adaptor on the card side. If that makes any difference?! Spec: AMD Athlon X2 6000+ Nvidia 8600GT 2GB RAM 500GB HDD 500W Antec PSU Asus A8N SLi-Se mobo

What type of monitor are you using? CRT or LCD flat panel? What is the make and model of the monitor

Its a 17" LG TFT display... A relatively cheap one.
Is that the problem you reckon?
