POST Question

No

Power On Self Test

The BIOS determines if the video card or onboard video is working.
The BIOS verifies RAM.
It checks for a keyboard and mouse.
It looks for a PCI bus and then checks the cards that are installed.
The system information is then displayed on the screen.

Basically POST is determined by the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System)

Generally, all you need is RAM and a CPU to get a post, but some mobos will give you errors.

That's what I thought. I have stripped off everything but cpu and graphics card and left the memory out on purpose to see I could get it to beep. Still nothing.
I even ordered a new bios chip and replaced it and it won't post. I think I have a dead board. The keyboard lights don't even light up.
Any suggestions?

Thanks kimsland,
I have tried all those steps and even built my own tech station so I could check the motherboard outside the case.
I'm not sure if mentioned that the mb is a Shuttl AN35N.

Expansion Slots: 1 x AGP, 5 x PCI

And get Sata too (I see that it doesn't have either!)
