£700 to spend on a laptop - need advice

Hello all,

Im after a bit of expert advice and im hoping this is the right place to ask.

I have £700 to spend on a laptop for Uni and i need it too meet a certain spec which is -

Portable & Light (the smaller the better)
DVD rw drive (for watchin films)
Decent graphics card (to play call of duty 4 at least)
Good battery life (as ill be at uni with it all day)
Wireless
Does not have to have an OS as i will install XP on the machine
Good make! (would love a sony but obviously cannot afford one)

Processor dual core
memory 2gb + ?

Could people point me in the right direction ? Maybe give me a few examples or recommend me a few? I do not want to spend £700 and be unhappy with it

Thanks alot for any help in advance
