Blue Screen, read and write errors

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and really need some help with a problem I keep getting with my brand new system.

I keep getting a blue screen error randomly, maybe once every couple of days:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

0x0000000A

(0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x805226E8)

The other thing i've noticed is that whenever I copy things to my hard drive, install a game or download programs, i keep getting errors saying files are corrupt or cannot be found. Even if i install a game from the original CD which i know works on another computer, it fails. For instance i installed Call Of duty four, skipping the files it could install, and when i try to load some levels it fails, while others its fine.

I'm not sure if these would be linked, i would assume they are. I have dump files, but when i downloaded the debugger from microsoft, the installer told me one of the cab files from the download are corrupt. I've also done several formats and tried RAID, the same trouble occur.

My best guess is that the RAM is too fast or too substantial for XP to handle and when the drivers and windows were installed there were errors.

Here is my new computers specs.

CPU: Q9450 (Intel quad 2.66)
RAM: 2 x 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz (G-Skill)
Mobo: Asus P5Q3 Deluxe Wi-fi
Graphics: Nvidia 8800GT (Gigabyte)
HDD: 2 X 500GB Sata (seagate)
Case: Antec Sonata 3 (500W)
Op System: XP Pro with SP3

If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You ,

Chris.
