Router internet connection
seems that when I try to go on the net,I get the red X on my wireless connection icon in lower right corner.
If i connect lap top to Router directly I can log on ! It is telling mer that I have no wireless connection and cannot find one. Router Wireless B 24 ghz ips Comcast. The computer is mot linking becuase it belives that I do n ot have a router configured. Solution Thanks ahead of time Joe B |

you need to configure the router to access it correctly using WiFi.
wire a connection from the system to the router, then use the router default address to access the configurate page login now set the SSID, channel number, (but leave encryption OFF for now). enable the radio set DHCP active and a range of addresses to be supported save the settings. Now you should be able to disconnect the wire, turn on the WiFi adaptor, and see your SSID as a possible connection point
