Speed strip : to unlock AXP multipliers
Taken from -> Hardware.fr
For those that have an AthlonXP ( serial number starting with AXDA ) & can't unlock multipliers 5x to 12.5x : The speed strip is like closing the L3 bridge on the CPU but without having to mess with them. ![]() So far I've only seem them on this store -> Bacata Maybe if someone were to send NewEgg an email about that very interesting item. ![]() *Edit* The SpeedStrip website is here -> http://www.speed-strip.com/ |

Looks great but its $14.... count in shipping and thats $20 just to unlock your cpu! I'd rather get some conductive ink for $2-5 and unlock it myself.

Speed Strip review @ A1 Electronics.net
If the buzz around this item is big enough, a store like Newegg might start offering them.
