The photograph on the right was doctored by the “beautification engine” of a new computer program that uses a mathematical formula to alter the original form into a theoretically more attractive version, while maintaining what programmers call an “unmistakable similarity” to the original.

I wish that you could do a review on Web based things like PhotoSynth
I know it's not Hardware, but there are just so many web related tools out there now.

The 'acceptable' pretty face is a somewhat sad commentary on human nature isn't it!

The picture you posted is by far the most noticeable; most of the other pictures were either near indistinguishable or strange looking.
