8800gt strange corruption issue

hi,
i have had my 8800gt for 6 months now and i have been experiancing texture corruption and usually followed by a crash, the corruption occurs in crysis, supreme comander and very rarely in COD 4. i dont think it is heat related. i recently changed from a modded 177.79(NO PHYSX) to 178.13 (with PHYSX). i have a OCZ Slientstream 500 watt psu and a thermaltake 250 watt pure graphic card power psu, i am running xp sp3 x32. can someone help me with resovling this issue

The motherboard is an ASROCKPENRYN1600SLI and my 8800gt is manufactured by 'Point Of View'

nVidia have wide range of cards that had a bad production run, resulting in failure. Might be worthwhile to try RMAing it.
