Creative 5.1 speakers go silent

Here's a mystery I hope someone can help with. One day my Creative 5.1 speakers were fine. The next day, only the left front channel worked. I've tried switching wires around with no success. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Isolate the problem, there might be a short in the speaker wire or the speaker itself, test this by using a different cable to connect to your sound card, this will tell you if its your audio cable and not your speaker cable. bSecond would to check your software. Make sure that your audio balance is set in the middle and not off on the far left or right, that will mute your right and parts of the center speaker, the sub should still work though. Check that and post pack.
