Plz help

Hi i hope anyone can help me with ra2 its an very old game But i have a problem

I installed ra2 and yr on my harddisk correctly!!

When i try to start the game they show me a dialog box says (Fatal String)
I dont know what that means??!
But im Working on windows Vista Home premium
 
Install all patches and change the compatibility mode to one that works best. The game came out way before Vista and will likely have to be run under an older OS compatibility mode.

BTW, your title should be more descriptive of the problem.
