Dell Inspiron 1720 AC Adapter/Charger Problem
I purchased my laptop from Dell in November of 2007. In September of this year, the AC Adapter/Charger stopped working. (I would plug it in and the green light would not come on - on the adapter/charger). I got a replacement from Dell (after them sending me the wrong replacement twice!) and now it's not working!
Does this sound like a laptop issue or an adapter/charger issue? Dell keeps trying to tell me it's a laptop issue and my warranty expired last week. Any help or ideas out there? Suzanne

Hi
Get the PSU tested with a volt meter, if its outputting a voltage then the Mobo is faulty, as Dell failed to send you a replacement within the guarantee period you could argue its their fault and that had they sent you the correct PSU inside the warranty period then you would have know it was a Mobo issue and as such it would still have been covered by warranty, however as they delayed sending the correct part out your warranty expired.... |
