Replacing ATI AIW 9000 in AGP slot

Recently replaced my PSU due to lightning strike followed by restart problems. Computer was left on for about three months. Now I can shut down again, but the video card fan is whining and grinding and I assume needs replaced. 5 year old AGP ATI AIW 9000 w/64mb RAM.

So, any opinions on the best AGP video cards remaining on the market? I like the AIW feature, but would settle for a work around to watch/record TV since my biggest concern is playing the best games I can while stuck with the AGP evolutionary dead end.

My PSU is new with 500 watts, so I think it can probably handle most AGP cards. Sound is integrated in the motherboard, and I'm not all that picky about it anyway.

any suggestions or links welcome, thanks

thanks

Thanks very much. I could go 100s. Hoping to avoid 200.

Separate issue - how can I tell if my motherboard can handle 8x or only 4x? Don't know what to look for, really, although my Catalyst test seems to max out at 4x. The unit is 5 years old so I'm guessing 4x. Thanks.

edit: figured out it doesn't really matter from other techspot posts. cool.
