has anyone installed the drivers to make their ps3 controller be able to act as gamepad? i have tried many times and cant get it to work

that is the website for it, i followed the directions exactly but it shows my controller as having no power. im using the ps3 controler with the charge coord. anyone know anything about this please help i cant figure this one out

your problem may not be in drivers

just some guesses/things to try
1. Basic but: are sure the ps3 external power is working/supplying power?
2. I'd have to double check but i vaguely recall the usb cable itself may be part of the problem
3. Try using a powered USB hub between the computer and the ps3

what is a powered usb hub?

a usb hub is simply a device that allow you to connect more devices to the computer USB port. Example, a 5-1 hub has one USB connection to computer and provides 5 connections for USB devices.

A POWERED usb hub has its own external power supply to provide power for the USB devices attached to it. Getting the power from the USB and not relying on the usb ps3 cable or it's own external power may provide a work around.

And as this is a hardware device, it should be returnable whereve you buy it (but check for that yourself, of course)
