Unexpected Error Multiple Apps

I just recently installed Windows XP SP2, and got all the drivers I needed after a complete reinstallation.
Now, I'm getting Unexpected Error messages on startup on a lot of programs and I cant seem to figure out why.

Specs:
nForce4 Mobo (Not sure exactly which tbh)
AMD 3500+
Gforce9800GTX
1gbDDR

In case its a driver I'm missing
I installed:
Video Drivers
Mobo Drivers
Directx (Most games refuse to work)
Updated Windows (ie, latest Netframework etc)

Sooo, yeah. Help would be great : D

Please run Memtest on your Ram

Please run a Drive Diagnostics on your HardDrive

Well the first is to check RAM correct?
But I run one of my games (Lineage 2) fine, so I dunno about the ram. I'll run the other check now though.

I'm leaning towards Ram

A clean install should not have files missing, unless hardware fault I feel
You could also try re-installing clean again

Harddrive test came back clean.
So i guess Im screwed then? Ram could be the only other reason?

Edit: If one of the games runs fine, shouldn't ram be out of the question? :3

Rams fine. Just to double check I switched out the ram for a different stick and im having the same problem.

Read in a past thread that using eventviewer in commandprompt and putting the error number here would help so.

"Faulting application sins of a solar empire.exe, version 1.0.0.1, faulting module sins of a solar empire.exe, version 1.0.0.1, fault address 0x00036760."

The solution they give is to play with the spell slider at low. But this is happening with tons of my games.
