Zalman MFC2 help

Hey

I just bought an Zalman MFC2, and when its on my pc keeps bipping(bip, bip)

I have an 120W PSU in it now, And on my side i have an 500W, should i connect that one.

I just fear that the mainbord will burn to the ground, if i connect the 500W

Greetings Marxtheboss
Hope you could help me

You have interferred with the motherboards detection of the CPU fan. Leave this fan connected directly to the motherboard, and monitor any other fans in your system. The temp probes need to be placed properly too. Follow the manuals instructions. 120 watts is a bit weak. What are your complete system specs?

The 500 Watt PSU output is the same as the 120 watt... all things being equal... it just has more reserve... You have no risk that the mainbord will burn to the ground, if you connect the 500W, assuming it is certified for use by the electrical authorities in your country.

..

Okay thx guys

But there is allways an but :P.. If i connect my cpu fan to the mainboard it runs at 850 rpm and then it is cooking a bit, when its connected to my Zalman, it runs at 2500 rpm and is on 30 celcius :P

So i can just put the 500w in, without something cracks or burning down??

Specs are coming to day
