BSOD Stop error 51 - Can't save files to hard drive

BSOD Stop error 51 - Can't save files to hard drive

Whenever I try to save a document to my laptop's (Thinkpad Z61t) harddrive, I get the following BSOD:

STOP: 0x00000051 (0x00000004, 0x00000001, 0xE7BC1738, 0x00067340)

Some background information that may be useful:

I recently installed Service Pack 3 on my machine. The first few attempts gave me an "Access is Denied" bubble midway through the installation.

I followed the third suggestion from the microsoft support website, which was to reset the registry and file permissions using Subinacl.exe and Reset.cmd


SP3 installed successfully after that. Everything seemed fine until I attempted to save a file...

Probably caused by : ntoskrnl.exe ( nt+22f43 )
