Bad Mobo or Password
Dell Inspiron 1521 Tag 595b this laptop has a pice of plastic chipped off the right front cornner; impact is most likely the cause. I have a password via masterpw.exe V2.20 for tags ending with 595b. At the grey screen of password entry ..... I see no field with curser as I type in the password and the password used fails. So, what could it be bad Mobo, bad password or both?
Appreciate any kind of help.........please, thanx. fishboy |

Probably a bad password... That one is a tough one if you did not set the original password.
If you bought the laptop from Dell, you can ship it back to them for removal at a price. Otherwise, keep on trying. When you first press the on button, can you then immediately press the <F1>. <F2>, <F10>, or <F12> key and get a setup screen. If so, the motherboard is OK. |
