3D Marks 2001
How do I interpret 3D Marks 2001 scores ?
Today I have got 1006 with a Celeron 2.4Ghz + Intel 852G graphics controller & 1767 with an AMD XP-M 2500+ with Mobility Radeon 64 MB ? Are the scores OK or too low ? |

1767 is a bit on the low side........
most systems these days can score 10000 or more. Playing games on systems with scores that low will be rather hard. perhaps you would like to have a look on the futuremark website (http://www.futuremark.com/) and compair your score with the scores of other machines Steg |

That is much too low fpor your system. I used to in 1300 with a K6-2 & a VooDoo 3. A Duron 700 & GF2 GTS would score around 4800.
Are you running the laptop in power saving mode while running the benchmark ? Is Vsync disabled ? |

Didou,
The laptop was on power supply & not on battery mode. Just wanted to confirm about yr suggestion for Vsync ? Where do I check it ? |

Well the Radeon drivers for Laptops are a bit different then regular catalyst drivers.
You'd have to look around in Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced You probably have a tab in there specifically to set options for the Radeon. Would it be possible to post a screenshot of all the things available there ? |
