i have a compaq desktop with 512 MB ram, 160 GB Hard drive, with an Athlon 64 3400+, The last 2 months I have
been getting the intemrittent BSOD. I have done have done several mem test on it for over 17 hrs, it showed
nothing.
I have installed new ram, 2 new 512 MB ram cards.
I am running windows XP home
I updated all the drivers.
I have installed all updates from compaq and microsoft.
I ran several anti virus scans including f secure and AVG

Te BSOD reads; "Page fault in non paged area"
"stop: 0x00000050 (0xe1A997000, 0x00000000, 0x8052AD97, 0x00000001).

The error report it wants to send reads BCCode: 100000050
BCP1:0xe1A997000
BCP2:0xe1A997000P
BCP3:0x8052AD97
BCP4:0x00000001

BCP3: is always the same code, others are sometimes different.

The problem its occuring more and more frequently. almost daily.
I have attached a hijack this log and my minidumps.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Do you have both F-Secure and AVG installed?

Right now I only have AVG installed. I used the on-line F secure scanner so it didn't download it onto my computer.

Uninstall your AVG Antivirus
Then run the removal tool
Here is the 32Bit version (most users): http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_...avgremover.exe
Here is the 64Bit version: http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/avg_...removerx64.exe

Install Avira free AntiVirus

I will try uninstalling the AVG. I am thinking this won't fix the problem because I had MCAffee installed when the BSOD starting happening. I uninstalled it and installed AVG to see if that changed anything. I should add that I also did a scandisk check on the hard drive and no problems showed up.
