Video-related crash, minidump
hello all
my computer crashes whenever I try and play some games, it's been happening with Unreal tournament 3 and crysis. right before it crashes red squiggly lines appear on the screen and then about 2 seconds later the screen goes black, and audio starts looping. here is my computer config CPU:Q6600 overclocked to 3.0 GHZ GPU:8800 GTS 512 overclocked to 725 mhz core, 1025 mhz memory, 1798 mhz shader MoBo:gigabyte-EP35-DS4 RAM: 4GB(2x2GB) mushkin 800 mhz 4-4-4-12 timings sound card: Asus Xonar DX PSU: Corsair 520HX 520W OS: Vista 64-bit Ultimate it can't be temperature because my video card only goes up to 66 degrees maximum, and my processor to 60(when it is at 100% for a while, which is never when playing a game) so what I can't do is read the minidump, I've posted it for the UT3 crash as I can't can't find any other. Your issue is with the Nvidia display driver nvlddmkm.sys and there is quite a bit on the web concerning problems between this driver and Vista. Overclocked cards were cited in my research and one work around was to lessen the ocing.
